Operations & Maintenance
Facility Systems Electrical Engineer
Offutt AFB, NE
Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.

Job Description: Perform electrical engineering services on the C2F contract.

  • Five years experience in electrical engineering
  • Working Knowledge of NFPA Standards
  • Ability to analyze and document facility circuit functions, conduct schematic capture of electronic devices and systems
  • Ability to research and document electronic components
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed Electrical system Safety and maintenance procedures
  • Support facility infrastructure power supply and monitoring systems failure repair procedure instructions
  • Develop cost efficient predictive maintenance task instructions
  • Computer skills, including MS Office applications, graphics, drawings, and other specialized applications
  • Evaluate and update the Delta building monitoring system
  • Prepare government estimates used in negotiating cost of approved changes
  • Support project team by performing other engineering duties as might be defined by client

Fire Alarm System Mechanic
Offutt AFB, NE
Job Description: Provides electrical services with specific responsibility for installing, repairing and/or replacing fire alarm systems and related equipment; maintaining a regular inspection schedule; documenting activities; assisting other skilled trades; and ensuring that tools and materials are available as needed.

  • High school diploma or equivalent, and equivalent of 5 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of accepted practices, processes, materials, and tools
  • Certification as required by UFC3-660-02, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
  • Must possess valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to obtain US government Top Secret security clearance

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Installs, services, repairs, inspects, and performs PMs on assigned fire alarm systems and related equipment per documented procedures and manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Maintenance, repair, testing or installation of fire alarm system.
  • Documents results
  • Analyzes blue prints, schematics, and drawings of fire alarm and/or other related electrical systems for the purpose of determining the efficient installation of new or upgraded systems.
  • Coordinates with assigned Foreman and/or other trades for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently.
  • Diagnoses causes of electrical problems or failures in assigned systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair.
  • Informs personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with health and building regulations.
  • Inspects electrical / fire alarm / security systems and their components for the purpose of evaluating condition, identifying necessary repairs and recommending preventive maintenance.
  • Installs electrical system components as assigned (e.g. panels, audible/visual alarms, pull stations, detectors, etc.) for the purpose of providing enhanced and/or upgraded system capabilities.
  • Maintains assigned vehicle, tools and test equipment for the purpose of ensuring availability of equipment in the workplace.
  • Monitors the electrical / fire alarm / security system work of outside contractors (e.g. electrical system upgrades/expansions, major remodels, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring that the projects are satisfactory completed and within local / State / Federal and District codes, regulations and specifications.
  • Participates in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars, as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions.
  • Prepares written materials for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying information.
  • Requests equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of items required to complete the necessary installation and/or repair.
  • Responds to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
  • Transports a variety of tools, equipment and supplies for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at job site

General Maintenance Worker
Offutt AFB, NE
Job Description: Safely operate test equipment, hand, and power tools in the performance of preventive maintenance inspections, repair modifications and enhancement of the facility, equipment and systems.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

  • Able to perform and document predictive and preventative maintenance on the facility, equipment, and systems.
  • Experienced in the safe use of tools and test equipment.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a TC SCI security clearance
  • Able to work with other craft personnel in support of completing complex projects
  • Oral and writing skills to research parts and development purchase order required to complete assigned tasks
  • Maintain certifications and training requirements of the position

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Complete job safety audits.
  • Perform tasks related to the maintenance and repair of facility, equipment, and systems
  • Perform minor electrical/mechanical repairs and complete testing for safe operation of equipment
  • Operate test equipment, including voltmeter, amp meter, ohm meter, etc.
  • Prepare written reports on repair equipment and maintenance activities
  • Perform research for the development of purchase orders with justification to support maintenance and repair of the facility, equipment, and systems
  • Participate in on-the-job training; attend formal training classes, and additional training programs as directed
  • Replace electrical components, fixtures, and motors with the support of a trade electrician
  • Repair and install suspended ceiling systems and tile
  • Replace plumbing fixtures such as sinks, water coolers, and toilets with the support of a trade plumber
  • Prep, prime, and paint the facility and equipment
  • Form, mix, pour, and finish concrete floors, steps, footers, equipment pads, and sidewalks
  • Replace damaged floor panels and all types of floor coverings
  • Install and repair door hardware to include hinges, closers, locksets, thresholds, and weather stripping
  • Perform other duties as assigned

HVAC Mechanic
Offutt AFB, NE
  • High school diploma or equivalent, and equivalent of 5 years of experience
  • Knowledge of accepted practices, processes, materials, and tools of the maintenance trades
Job Description:
  • Responsible for daily HVAC operations and maintenance of systems to include all computer room air conditioning units.
  • Establish inspection frequency, and develop job plans for maintenance. Monitor system health, readiness status for peak design performance of HVAC systems.
  • Test systems with calibrated instruments, study deviations, and perform adjustments when indicated.
  • Maintain or reduce long-term energy costs.
Qualifications: Journeyman license, 40 CFR 82.158 Certified, 40 CFR 82.161 Certified Technician

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Installs, services, repairs, inspects, and performs PMs on HVAC and other mechanical equipment per documented procedures and manufacturer’s specifications
  • Documents results
  • Refrigerant Recovery, System M&R
  • Thorough knowledge of centralized chill water systems and related equipment for 1800 ton chillers
  • Maintenance of Air Handlers with pneumatic and digital controls including secondary pumps, damper motors, blower motors and belt replacement
  • Reheat coils and preheat
  • Knowledge of High Pressure Steam Plant Operations
  • Water treatment knowledge
  • Ability to work independently troubleshooting and responding to service work orders

Plumber, Maintenance

Job Description:Assembles, installs, inspects, and repairs pipes, fittings, and heating, water, and drainage system fixtures per plumbing codes. Documents results.

  • NICET Level III certified; NBIC/NB-23, AFI 32-1068, and ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Certification
  • State of Nebraska Plumbers and Back Flow Prevention license/certification

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Inspects, repairs, maintains, and provide safe, functional, and reliable plumbing systems
  • Identify, isolate, record, and correct cross connection and other potential sources of distribution systems contamination.
  • Provide a back flow cross prevention
  • Operates and maintains plumbing systems per UFGC 22 00 00, AFI 32-1066 paragraph 8, and American Water Works Association (AWWA) Standards.
